PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
FILM ASSOCIATE
SEPTEMBER 2021 - PRESENT
Cinematographer / Editor
The Atlanta Opera Film Studio
- I am proud to be a part of The Atlanta Opera's epic Film Studio. As a committed part of the company, our Film Studio captures stunning documentary and narrative stories surrounding our stage performances. Not only is each production live streamed to online viewers, but also recorded with never-before-seen footage, to be edited into a feature film.
ARCHIVAL VIDEOGRAPHY
DECEMBER 2017 - AUGUST 2021
Freelance Video Production
Synchronicity Theatre
- It has been a treat to create promotional and archival videos for Synchronicity Theatre over the years. And I am excited to continue work for their -now virtual- season, as a camera operator alongside Felipe Barral, of IGNI Productions.
SERIES EDITOR
JUNEÂ - AUGUST 2020
Editor
Boston Symphony Orchestra
- As all performances were cancelled for the summer, the Boston Symphony Orchestra pivoted drastically to a digital platform; treating audiences to multiple new, exclusive videos. I was able to edit remotely for a series titled, "BSO Encore Performances from Tanglewood" which premiered 8 episodes of new interviews and old performances. Despite each high resolution video averaging at least 90 minutes, this task was maneuvered impressively from afar by use of proxies and programs like Cisco, Sharebrowser, and LogMeIn.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
AUGUST 2019Â - MARCH 2020
Film Production
Corrective Chiropractic
- I am honored to have established the role of Creative Director for Corrective Chiropractic; a growing company with 8 locations in the Atlanta area and beyond. This position creates new media for each location, collects testimonials from patients, and aids in the marketing growth of their brand.
ASSISTANT VIDEO EDITOR
FEBRUARYÂ - JUNE 2019
Editor, Camera Assistant
Lyda Fire
- I was brought in to assist the Lyda Fire team with a major film project, which involved sorting, trimming, and creating stories from over 13 Terabytes of footage for 15 videos. During this time, I was also able to help coordinate and attend multi-day video shoots, brainstorm for social media, and even practice writing copy.
ASSISTANT CREATIVE PRODUCER
JULY 2018Â - FEBRUARY 2019
PullSpark
- PullSpark specializes in producing videos and live events; two of my favorite things. I was contracted to be the Assistant Creative Producer for a few short films and a private award show of roughly 7 thousand attendees. This position required me to schedule locations, hire talent, manage communication with clients/vendors, and assist in any accessory task that needed to be done.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
JANUARY 2018Â - MAY 2018
Operations Department
Atlanta Film Festival
- As part of the Operations Department, I trained, scheduled, and managed roughly 350 volunteers to serve every screening and special event of the 10 day Atlanta Film Festival.
TOURING VIDEOGRAPHER
MAY 2014 - NOVEMBER 2017
Lead Videographer and Documentary Editor
the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps
- I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to document this unique activity for 4 summer tours. Each year the corps tours on buses and competes across the country for thousands of fans. I was part of a small, independent media team whose purpose was to document and inform viewers around the world of the performers' experiences, and create a documentary DVD to sell to parents, alumni, and fans.
MEDIA DESIGNER
FEBRUARY - APRIL 2017
Photography & Projection Mapping
Strait of Gibraltar, world premiere play by Adrea Lepcio
Directed by Rachel May, Synchronicity Theatre
- This stage production required photo and video projections to assist the story and illustrate the progression of time. For this, I used both stock media as well as my own photography for each specific scene. I then used QLab and a 3 projector set-up to map and animate the images across the set walls.
WEDDING / EVENTS EDITOR
DECEMBER 2015 - APRIL 2016
Video Editor
Cincotta & Co.
- Acting as the video editor for a high-end wedding photographer allowed me to master the task of editing someone else’s footage and organizing files. In my time there, I was complemented most on my ability to make each film sentimental, and move the viewer. While this position was primarily for event editing, I was also given the opportunity to create motion graphics and backgrounds, and film b-roll for the company’s annual photography conference; Shutterfest.
STUDENT DIRECTOR
FALL 2011 - SPRING 2015
Bachelor of Arts: Theatre Production
Southeast Missouri State University
- While much of my professional career has been rooted in film, I am very much a product of the stage. At Southeast Missouri State, I scheduled most of my courses around my interest in directing, to further understand script analysis, story composition, and communication with actors. Additional courses involved performance, improv, design, crew assistance, and set/costume construction. Above is the cast of "Sordid Lives", one of the main stage productions for Southeast Missouri State University, which I was chosen to direct.
